Viagra : Pfizer's French site will supply Europe and the Middle-East ( Viagra : le site de Pfizer livrera l'Europe et le Moyen-Orient) 09/07/98 Les Echos Page 10 American pharmaceuticals company Pfizer's French production site in Amboise will produce Viagra for Europe (EU, Eastern Europe and Russia) and for the Middle-East, announced a subsidiary's spokesperson on Friday (4 September 1998). The Amboise site, which was extended and modernised in 1992, employs 650 people. The company's workforce has been strengthened with a view to producing Viagra on a large scale. The impotency medicine is already being produced in Amboise for Switzerland and the Middle-East, including Kuwait where it has been marketed since the beginning of the summer. Brussels is expected to authorise the product in the EU around 15 September, while it is expected to be available on the French market during the last year of October.
