>>Well, I guess "anything approaching intelligence" is the operative word here. Us moderate types have successfully countered a number of arguments put forth by you people on a number of issues only to be dismissed as unintelligent, lacking reason etc.

You are still here aren't you? Read it again. I specifically "included you out" of that category, did I not?

Michelle, re Also, I recently asked Bill Vaughn to comment on whether he thought the behavior of the president of my former company (who I am SURE is a republican) was immoral (He was around 45, married and had an affair with a 23 yr old he met at the office and married her 2 years later). To this BV replied with "he didnt know what I was talking about". Well heres what Im talking about: This stuff goes on, all the time, and it appears that the morality of it hinges on whether the man in question ends up marrying the younger woman or not. How bizarre.

Lookit, Michelle: I'll present to you what I presented via email back in January (after the public denials) to an ardent Clinton supporter, Ms. Janice Shell of SI (though I'll go into much greater detail now):

What deeply disturbs people about Clinton is his enormous capacity for deceit. He has been posing as a Married man. With that "title" comes all sorts of unsaid trappings: "I'm faithful to my spouse. I have a solid personal relationship with an ardent and committed partner. I have someone to turn to in time of emotional need. I'm a solid member of the community. I can be relied upon. We are a team, my wife and I. Together we face the challenges."

These are things that are unspoken, but yet attributed to a married man. It bespeaks a certain acknowledgment and embracement of responsibility. Now hear this: If Bill and Hillary had run for office as swingers, do you suppose they would be in office now? I personally don't think so. Bill, it turns out, was not capable of living up to his end of the marriage covenent. So now I for one am not willing to attribute to him all those other unsaid things that come with announcing yourself as a "married man".

Clinton knows all of this, and so does Hillary. Bill knew that the public wouldn't stand for whatever bizzare "agreement" that they have. So when the issue of marital fidelity came up as a "material matter" in the Jones sexual harassment lawsuit, Billy lied. Then he lied to the American people. He risked his relationship of trust with the American people with a grand, a "vast conspiracy" of denial. He abused the powers of the Presidency when deceit was suspected by the Justice Dept (three branches, as a check on each other, thank God!).

Bill is a living, continuing fraud, will never ever regain full credibility, and therefore must resign.
