With the OLAP market projected to grow at 40%+ year-to-year and if HYSL only maintains their market dominance, then is it fair to anticipate 40%+ top line revenue growth of this company? I would hope that earnings would then grow faster. Stock appears to then be attractively priced at this time.

The OLAP Report Ranks Hyperion Solutions
as Market Leader; Twenty-Four Percent
Market Share Puts Company Significantly
Ahead of Oracle

Business Wire - September 08, 1998 08:36

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1998--Hyperion
Solutions (NASDAQ:HYSL), a leading provider of analytic application
software for reporting, analysis, modeling and planning, has been ranked as the
market leader for online analytical processing (OLAP) software, by The
OLAP Report, the leading research group for the OLAP industry. The ranking
gives Hyperion Solutions a 24.7 percent share of the 1997 OLAP market, 4
points above the closest competitor, Oracle.

"Hyperion Solutions is undoubtedly the new OLAP market share leader now
and is almost certain to be the market leader for the whole of 1998," said
Nigel Pendse, lead author of The OLAP Report (www.olapreport.com).

The OLAP Report developed the ranking for Hyperion Solutions through a
combination of the previous rankings for Hyperion Software and Arbor
Software. The two companies merged on August 24, 1998 to form Hyperion
Solutions. According to The OLAP Report, the OLAP market totaled $1.4
billion in 1997 and should near $2.0 billion in 1998.

Prior to the launch of Hyperion Solutions, The OLAP Report had predicted
that no single vendor would dominate the OLAP market within the next two
years. The latest edition of the OLAP Report ranks Hyperion Solutions as the
dominant player.

"If Hyperion manages the merger correctly and maintains focus, it will
dominate both the OLAP and analytical application software sectors," added
Pendse.
