When reading weekly publications (Barron's) or daily newspapers (IBD), etc. I always keep this thought in mind:

Writers and analysts of regularly appearing articles, editorials etc. are ALWAYS under pressure to produce material for publication whether or not the material is well researched, well thought-out, etc. The investment world has a very short memory with regards to those who's forecasts are far-fetched and never come to fruition. Are the writers held accountable? Of course not: Everyone is entitled to an opinion (written as well as verbal).

However, this obviously lends itself to shooting-from-the-hip statements which we all see everywhere these days and which Barron's contains a lot of.
