If you're a libertarian, you wouldn't like Nixon. He had wage and price controls. He initiated the Earned Income Tax Credit which he envisioned would normalize all wages at the median income. As for foreign affairs, he started the general trend toward appeasement in the 1970's --- his most aggressive ploy was the meek China card. The Democratic administrations that preceded him and the Democratic congresses deserve a lot of the blame for the U.S.'s weakened hand due to Vietnam.
