Emile , Emile, your ignorance shows again, the essence of Judaism was, is and probably will always be that small scroll which every Jew sets in his "mezuzah" at the entrance of his abode, and which is also embedded in the Tefilin he wraps on his forehead and his left arm starting with "Ve--ahavta lereacha camocha..." (and thou shal love your neighbor as yourself), if you were to learn just one thing about becoming a good Jew (and dear Emile, you are long way from that goal, so far) just practice this single tenet and it is as if you practiced all the commandments the almighty dictated on his Am Israel. The Levis the Cohens, the David house, all are non sensical and unessential. The old mighty did not want to have Kings ruling over Israel, he yielded to the weak collective mind of the populace when Shmuel anointed, first Shaul and then David. I believe that the Abrabanel house are supposedly direct descendents of David, but none of them would ever dream claiming to be a "king" as some others have done in the past (did not Jesus claim to be the King of the Jews?).
