Fleckenstein has been a total tech pessimist for years. He currently makes a few good points about the semiconductor sector, but he has NEVER fully understood the power of the direct model (ala Dell). What he _STILL_ doesn't get is that the e-tailers and those companies using the direct model will rise above their competitors in deflationary times because the direct model is able to take IMMEDIATE advantage of component price declines. In delationary times, those companies with the least inventory,(or the most turns) win.
