Gary,

It sounds like you and I have about the same vast amount of trading experience... about 3-4 weeks! Old pros.

I haven't figured out how to make the transition to full-time yet. I want to see some "method" work well for me before I risk a career change. I've done a lot of TA reading and feel pretty good about what I've learned there. I see I have to pay more attention to what I see, however. Had we all listened to the signals, it was pretty obvious early on that the market was very weak. Adv/Declines were horrible; stocks were piercing their 50-day averages and approaching the 200day. We were all "hoping" for a continued bull climb.

All of this has taught me to find a method I can trade which is objective. Without this, it's all guesswork. With a method, I can adjust when results are not favorable.

I've been studying Cooper's Hit & Run Trading methods: simple, clear, easy to program into your charting software. You know what to expect. I now need to find the time to do the setup research so I can trade just those setups, not my scalping stuff which is exciting, but not something I can trust for the long term.

In the end, I imagine all of this will come together into a "method" I'll call my own...

Good luck with your trading!
