The pressure on him to cut right now is tremendous. The market itself is saying to cut. Have we ever had an inverted yield curve like this one with inflation so low and real rates so high? Not to mention most of the world teetering into depression. Uncle Al is flirting with the ignominy of going from being a mythically great Fed Chair to Herbert Hoover status in just a few short years if he doesn't do something, and if he (and the rest of us) are very very lucky.
