Penni, I couldn't agree more, and to me the behavior goes even deeper than that. It's much more than the Monica scandal. It's the rampant abuse of power throughout all these years. And the people involved are so callous and disregarding of the respect of the country that they are willing to drag former Presidents names through the dirt in order to justify their behavior. Smearing the memory of Ike was as pathetic as it gets. These people have zero moral character. ZERO. They will do anything to keep their positions of power. I suspect a long drawn out impeachment is upon us. Shame on those who would put their personal power needs above those of the country. Shame indeed.

There is no-way I would ever be cynical enough to believe these things happen all the time. That's simply a crock! This is the most corrupt administration in the history of America, and it's about to come to a nasty ugly end.

The major reason all this happened is because after 12 years of Republican Presidents the major media was so desperate to get one of their ideological brethren to the top that they were willing to accept and cover up almost any behavior. I'm convinced had it not been for talk radio and the Internet, none of this would have ever been reported. Shame on those in the media, they all owe us an apology. And they owe talk radio and Mr Drudge a deep apology for having to teach them what being a reporter is all about.

Thank goodness my children are young enough to be shielded from all this. I can't imagine how teenagers are being affected.

Penni,

I actually agree with most of what you say. I just think that the degree of the response has overshot the gravity of the offense by a considerable margin.
