Looks like the rumors of stock-for-book (maybe discounts, maybe exceedingly generous
credit terms, maybe outright free inventory) and the pointed facts of writing off
advertising expenses as "one time charges" are starting to get around in the major
investment circles. Hey Glenn, if all this turns out to be true are all of us AMZN shorts
going to throw you a party with our profits? :)

OC,

That sounds fine to me. I just need profits now;-)

Glenn

Other chap:
Can you tell me where you found the information on the stock-for-book deals? This sounds really interesting, and possibly illegal. Also the bit about the one-time charges - is this rumored to be coming up in the third quarter financials, or what ??
Thanks
