Jerome,

You have returned to the message board with a revitalized pessimism. Your recent posts do not reflect your previous enthusiasm about the stock at all.

Why don't we get this whole issue about stock manipulation in the open rather than enveloping the company in a mysterious fog? Is there some legal action against the company that we are not aware of related to the stock's volatility? Is there an insider who continues to manipulate and prosper from price swings?

These are serious allegations on a public forum. If they are speculative and unsubstantiated they are best not posted.

CompactFlash is kicking butt. There are no recent design-in announcements because all of the design-ins have already been garnered. The next two announcements will be Olympus' and Fuji's defection to the CF camp. I just met an Olympus owner who is quite upset that his 8 MB SmartMedia card upgrade won't work in his expensive Olympus digital camera. I am sure that they (Olympus) will be running into this problem with some degree of regularity.

I am encouraged by the recent Barron's article which revealed that Kodak's latest product launch (Kodak DC 260) sold out at the retail level in just a few weeks.

We are all holding our breath with regard to the Lexar issue and legal proceedings continue. The recent attempt by Lexar to dismiss the case was denied implying that there is merit to SanDisk's action to pursue the "card level" infringements.

In 1999 we will hopefully see some revenue from MMC which is a SanDisk and Siemens co-production. This will not end up as a freebie for all to copy and similar co-licensing fees will be collected for its use.

Never thought we would see SNDK trading at $8.00 and change. Hope we can look back in a few months and scratch our heads wondering why we didn't accumulate more at that price.
