Deep, 90/10 is my option buying system. Effectively, if I have $10,000 to invest in that portfolio, over a year, I keep $9000 in money markets and use some or all of the $1000 to buy options. Remember, this is over the course of a full year, so if I lose the full $1000, I am out of the game until the calendar comes around.

You will also hear me mention interest only or discount only, where you buy money markets or t-bills and invest the interest or the discount in options. This is the method I recommend for new long options speculators, allowing them to get a few mistakes and a few winners under their belt with no risk to capital.
