Dave, it depends on whether your ISP offers more than one e-mail
account. Some do. Even if the ISP doesn't, your son can establish
a free account with Yahoo or a host of other sites.
The Yahoo account has the advantage that it can be accessed from
ANY computer. Just go here yahoo.com and click on
"Yahoo! Mail"

Normally the mail stays on the Yahoo Mail server, but you can also
download it.
