Sure Bill, I don't think the Fido software support people actually USE the software to trade....I think they just read the docs....But it doesn't usually time-out on me with the 999 setting...

Another thing that's not commonly known is that Fido sells order flow, so you're guaranteed a crappier fill on stocks that they don't make a market in.... (is "crappier" a word ?)

Bill,try setting to 0 min.It seems to work the best.Also I have found that if I erase the two jcomm files and .fcs files in the data directory often I have a lot less trouble.I am in the habit now of doing this every time I log off.
