I just installed a second monitor. The monitors do not have to be the same in any respect. Initially I had a Diamond Fire GL 1000 Pro AGP board. I added a Diamond Viper V330 PCI board. I can set the bios of the motherboard to use either as the primary board. I have 2 17" monitors and it works like a champ.

Hope this helps.

Robert
