I hope the proof is hidden well enough to inspire a grant without compromising the method and blowing the lead.

It was obvious that the crop circles were created by a ray as a local fire could not create a prefect circle. The source could not be flying saucers as they require forward speed to stay aloft like a shark and would leave an oval impression. Ergo It had to be a local source. stationery satellites are ruled out as they are too far away and beam spreading would be too extreme. Any military experiments would be better aimed we hope. So that leaves accidental beam nuclear explosions. The only source of such random nucleonics is the personal computer.
