historically, such drops as I have described are quite normal. A drop to 4000 would be back to the same trendline as 1987. When you take a larger view of hisory than just the present upcycle of the last 60 years, one sees such a decline is not the end of the world. The stock market is cyclical too, the cycles are just much longer and larger than an oil driller. But yes, there will obviously be economic consequences, such dire economic conditions are in fact being forcasted by the market right now. Like I said, how bad it turns out to be will be determined by what the government does. My guess is they'll do something stupid and make things worse. I'll give ya more fundamental reasoning for my belief that we're going alot lower in the coming months. For now, we can leave it at that.
