Tony,
I take it you are a bit sensitive on INTC, I'm assuming that u own
some. I don't, but have been correct on them q-q since spring of
'97. True, Celery has finally achieved some performance recognition
but as you stated its' price will entice more sales at the low
margin end at the expense of the higher performance/priced chips.
Not everyone except power users have a need for that much computing
power for Xeon and the next generation, especially at the higher
cost. Concerning corporations, there are now very good alternatives,
at very high speeds, for the sub-zero market that more than meet the needs of 90% of corporate America for spread sheets and basic business applications and of yet there is really no general business applications' program that requires pure horsepower to achieve
acceptable results.
With businesses/corporations starting to see a potential slow down
they will likely curtail extraneous/unnecessary expenses as a
cost saving exercise, IMHO.
I guess we can agree to disagree on our assessment, but with Asia
growth/market at a standstill it is unlikely that INTEL will show any
stellar performance for a while.

Just my opinion,
BB
