Bill,

I understand buying at the ask. Now, when you sell, do you do it at market? My concern of doing it with a limit order is if the stock slides below your exit point, you have to cancel and replace. Thoughts?

Bill,

Point taken and of course at times everything you said is correct. I actually prefer to buy on the downtick....I am generally looking for a 2-4 pt swing so if I'm 1/2 pt early I don't really care too much. So I rely on 2 things....knowing the fundamentals and sentiment of the stocks I trade and generally I have preset targets ranges I expect the stock to trade in short term/near term based on technical analysis. If I'm wrong I'll take a 1/2~point loss. I try to limit my mistakes....it works for me. I also try not to trade stocks I wouldn't want to hold LT. And I specifically trade in beaten down quality stocks, earnings plays, and issues I expect to double in 12 mos. This keeps me from losing my ass.

Tomorrow will be a good day to buy your favorites @ ask and early...But Friday was the time I was picking up my bargains...but I missed a few...particularly my OEX sept calls, which I should have been on ask @ close.<G> so now I'm really sorry!

Jeff
