Things are so ridiculously overvalued that ya gotta look 2-3 decades out to justify P/E's -- under optimal conditions. So take off the rose-coloured glasses and evaluate equities as you would any other 'future.'

"Current claims on a source of income 20-30 years in future still have a current value" Safe enough, can't argue that...

(Sounds like, "Only under the most optimal conditions could you even hope for a favorable outcome over such a vast interval; and -- oh, by the way -- things are already sub-optimal.")

and by the way we create our subgame perfect equilibria right here at the fed...suboptimal, hey no problem, we do autologous forecasts that none dare call self fulfilling and what you want is what you get..

Maybe I'm being liberal in interpretation?

Well, your rewrite was very very good!

sounds of respiratory distress
