viwes.com ktel short story ktel did not have a large short position until after part of the runup as u can see here.... after split there were 1.8 mil shares in float with 2.2 million shares shorted in may....in april there were only 26000 shares shorted there is still a significant short of 1.6 million shares out of a float of 1.8 million.... i think initial momentum brought in the shorters in ktel, but the big mo people ran it up on the internet stock craze so the shorts kept covering....at that time there was an internet stock craze.... even though short is still significant now there is no driving force....ie...no internet craze or such going on so the shorts have managed to bring it down in JAWS case the driving force will be the owners of jaws pulling their certs and causing buyins... the unlucky shorters who see a massive spike in jaws will think of this as a typical hype run spike and so will short heavily on the spike without knowing the facts... as more certs get pulled this will cause a cascade of more new shorters and also old shorters getting called by their brokers to cover as the price rockets upward.... this scenario is great for jaws owners and the only shorters that win will be the ones that call the very top and are not forced to cover.... samir
