That would probably be more than adequate and I like the savings. For anyone who happens to live in Houston as I do I discovered last night that Axion, one of the INteret vendors, is local and carries a pretty good inventory.

Another alternative is to use a Celeron 333A.

On execution and TA machine (100%), what would the effects of the 128mb L2 cache on the c- 333a be compared to the 512mb on the PII?

There's a good review on Anand anandtech.com of the 300A which goes into the beneficial placement of the smaller cache on the Celeron.
