Spreck,

As you now know anyone using a computer without a UPS (uninterruptable power supply) and a regular backup program is treading water in a shark tank. Anyone reading this without both backup and UPS should get both immediately.

I live in the boonies and get saved by the UPS at least once a week when the lights flicker. We used to say a fish went over the dam when that happened but they tore out the local dams (we had two in the county in the fifties that supplied most of the power). Now the closest power plant is probably 150 miles away. That's alot of wire in an ice storm. VBG

my dell computer's hard drive crashed two weeks ago and thanks to a number of people and dell tech support it's back up and running. to tell the the truth it was not a very pleasant experience but i've learned a great deal from it. in a few days i will have a backup tape drive installed and i already have put in a ups. as a result of losing my hard drive i lost all my favorite places. i'm trying to find two sites that people posted over time. one is a quote site that lists the trades and quantity of shares for certain time periods. the other is a quote chart that shows the day 20 50 100 200 dma & as well as trend indicators, oscillators such as stochastic's. if any one could post the links i would be grateful. it was bad enough to not be able to see what happened to the markets through all this down draft but i've spent an amazing amount of time trying to go through all the posts and still have not found what i'm looking for. i'd be ok with direct messages as well .thanks still long on dell but a little bit happier after todays train ride
:-)
thanks scott spreckman
