Welcome back Rod - I consider you a near-perfect contrairian indicator regarding INPR/BORL. I've been trading this company for a few years now and have done quite well. Interestingly, my investment decisions have almost always run contrary to your pontifications and I've almost always profited ! Just look at the heading for this subject. At the end of April you were praising INPR and bashing MSFT just at the time one should have been selling INPR. Now you are bashing Del and saying "Thank God for Microsoft" !!

I'm long INPR as of last week, and now you are once again confirming my decision (FWIW) with the "Rod" factor. I would of course never base any investment decisions on your SI posts, but I am somehow comforted, perhaps in some superstitious way, that I once again find my decisions contrary to yours. Glad you're back!

BTW, I have been using JBuilder (versions 1 and 2) every work day over the past 8 months as part of large Java-based enterprise development, and though not perfectly stable (what software is?), it has proven to be a useful tool for us. Now that I'm using JBuilder 2.0, I have very few complaints about the product. JBuilder suits our purposes quite well and we have a large team of developers (at least 20) who are each using it.

Whether I'll profit again by trading this company remains to be seen, but at least I once again have the "Rod-factor" on my side.

cheers and best of luck to all !

-JMS

Unify has probably the only real working App Server solution on the market. In addition, the company is profitable and trades at a P/E of 4 times next years earnings. The product works, on Unix or NT, and what even more interesting is that they got it done with a 50 person develpment team. It always shocks me when I see larger companies having difficulty getting development direction. Is it a question of two many heads?
