brian h, you asked: "Where was NOKA when QCOM invented IS-95? Where was NOKA when QCOM's had the vision to buy internet email- Eudora program? Where was NOKA when QCOM decided to license its CDMA to now about 60 telecom small companies. Where was NOKA when QCOM had this aggressive Globalstar plan back? Where was NOKA when QCOM's Omnitrac system can not find almost non competitor in its field?"

Nokia is a hot stuff organisation and they were signing up with Qualcomm for a cdma licence. They also set up a San Diego research facility and office to be in on the ground floor back in 1992 I think it was. They have produced a cdmaOne chip and handset. Not the best but pretty good. Certainly better than Motorola's effort and Motorola was in from 1989 I think. Eudora was exceptional and understandably Nokia didn't know about it.

Meanwhile I suppose you bought in at the bottom? I was full up so it passed by.
