Hi Steve: a return to a centrally planned, communist economic model..." Actually, the Duma is leaning not towards a radical solution, but a reactionary one; ie., the fascist "corporate state". I fully agree. Communism is not the problem. Chernomyrdin's program more resembled a fascist economic model (he even called it "economic dictatorship"), completely unworkable with all its internal contradictions (print money, but keep the ruble stable with [non-existent] reserves). The problem is that Chernomyrdin is almost certainly out of the running now and the next program may be even worse. Good luck to all. Phil
