China's Legend to Make Windows CE Palm Computer Reuters - 10:04 a.m. Sep 08, 1998 Eastern BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese computer giant Legend Holdings Ltd is joining forces with Microsoft Corp to take the first stab at selling a palm-sized computer in China, a company official said today. The company, based in Redmond, Washington, is racing against computer networking firm 3Com Corp, which makes the market-leading PalmPilot devices, to be first with the hand- held devices in China. 3Com Corp has said it will release localized versions of the PalmPilot in Asia later this year.
