To all, The great Summer chip rebound turned out to be a little joke between friends, at least as far as July was concerned. Chip sales in July in dollars were down 1.9% from June and 17% year over year. Even Dennis Rodman in a dress couldn't grab that rebound. <G>

It just goes to show you that you can't believe all the rumors the chip touts spread. They will lie about anything and nobody holds them accountable. And, of course, the permanbulls believe them and run the stocks.

August should actually be up from July. It usually is with back to school pc buys. But when it comes in, pay close attention to the year to year numbers. Sequential doesn't mean much in a business that is highly seasonal.
