I believe CPQ is on Microsoft's side of the table because they are betting big on NT's future. Remember the main reason for DEC is the services arm and all those 'certified' software engineers. It boils down to self interest, and that's why you see IBM and Intel execs on the other side of the table. Not sure why BA is also on the other side, maybe they feel Microsoft is gouging them or restraining competition, which hurts them as a large customer....
