Local paper ran a fairly lengthy front page story today on gold. It was the very standard 'gold has lost its luster' yada yada yada. No mention of the runup in gold stocks last week. The only interesting bit in the piece was that they quoted the head of research for the World Gold Council as saying he didn't know anyone who was bullish on gold.

Ohh, but I do know for a fact that I'm much smarter than you. OLE 49/r Has no idea as how leverage works: I don't feel I have to justify anything to anyone, let alone play teacher to a neophyte such as OLE 49/r. I heard it mentioned that the head trader for BMO {bank of Montreal} had 3.5M shares unsold on BRE-X. So that was my first put option. For $.35 it turned into $2.55 on 10 contracts for me, and my friend.{And this is on the SI as well} But I can't find it. Sure I've lost some {Gandalf comes to mind}, but they are more than covered by the wins. Example: {This was on the net} quote.canada-stockwatch.com Orignally I own some CDN TIP's for a while, purchased late last year. And sold them prior to: Message 5326798 DML was a junior stock, that I made very little on. {but the proof is there} More confirmation of a trade agianst a held position, giving leverage in a zero loss position. Message 5322060 Note: I bought SEPT 39.5 put's when the market was trading at $39.70-$40.35 Slightly out of the money. So I got the PUT's for $0.55 for 40 contracts. $0.554000 = $2200.00 Message 5437591 This was a temporary lock on the TIP put's to day trade the CIBC bank Never got to buy CIBC, but I did buy/sell the TIP's {not the options} Sell/Buy at (36.304000)-(39.50 4000)= 3200 profit {zero risk} Which than again left the TIP's PUT open again. On Aug 27 I closed the option to guarantee profits. I sold at {TIP's at 30.5} For 9.50 & around per contract SO: 4000 9.50 = 38000 from exit -(4000* 0.55) = 2200 from entry + 3200 from flip 39000 profit! This is only one example... And I find your attitude insulting & condescending, even for a troglyte. It was never my intentions to bring an open flaming war to the GPM thread. Which is why I desisted posting here. But by your latest immature actions, I feel that your free reign of misinformation must desist. It should be noted that this is not ALL my money. I trade on my behalf and a local investments clubs.
