Linda,

"Frank Dobson, the Health Secretary, believes that some people - described by Government sources as the "deserving impotent" - should eventually be able to get Viagra on the NHS, but ministers want to ensure that only those with a genuine medical problem receive the pills."

"It is also likely that GPs will eventually be given the power to prescribe the drug to "suitable" patients, to avoid hospital consultants being overwhelmed."

The UK's intent is to limit the overuse and abuse of Viagra; it seems clear that they intend to allow Viagra to be prescribed to those with genuine medical need. This, IMO, is very appropriate.

Also, remember the UK has a two tier system. The MD's in private practice will follow their own guide lines.

Off to work--hope the rest of the day goes well for you. Interesting day in the market, yes?

Brad
