Joseph - Re: "Is this a recovery or a dead cat bounce ?"

Who knows?

Lots of people claim to have all these answers - but I'm not one of them.

OT Is this a recovery or a dead cat bounce ?

If you follow William O'Neil (sp?) and IBD then today appears (assuming no EOD selloff) to be a confirming follow-through day to last week's rally attempt. We're up over 1% on heavier volume then the previous day (although the previous day was a pre-holiday light volume day) within three to seven days of the original rally attempt. O'Neil says this is accurate 80% of the time and a different IBD story says it's accurate 75% of the time.

According to this philosophy then tomorrow you'd start to buy into stocks breaking out of bases put in during this decline.

If I knew I wouldn't be working.
