Riechers,
Considering recent history, I think no comments should be made. Just keep the mouth shut and show us the money. That way no creditability issues can obscure the facts. Let the Wall Street fortune tellers earn their money with no possible scapegoats at Compaq.

All.....my sister who lives in Virginia told me that Virginia Beach just installed their new Compaq computers for all Virginia Beach Middle Schools. The State of Virginia has mandated a "State of Technology Plan" requiring all students to master technology by 5th grade and know upgraded info by 8th grade. She said the cost of doing this for Virginia Beach was a huge issue.....Newport News/Hampton in Virginia will be doing the same- although I don't know if it will be Compaq. Additionally, the teachers in Newport News/Hampton will be getting laptops...wonder if they will be utilizing Compaq computers for all schools in Virginia?

I think having Compaq in the classroom will augment purchases from "Radio Shack".

I apologize if this is old news.
