John,

I'm very disappointed in you......

As a lawyer, surely you know that it is very easy to sue someone for an opinion. Winning is another matter:-)

Mark

BTW,
There was a time on this thread when mud slinging was NOT the way of life.

Actally I think the precedent for Internet Privacy has already been set.

HERNDON, Va., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- PSINet Inc. (Nasdaq: PSIX - news) today announced that its Canadian subsidiary, iSTAR internet inc., has moved to challenge a court order requiring Internet service providers to disclose customer identifying information.

There were several news articles about this case, related to Philips Services I think, that were also in the news last July, but I haven't located a follow-up. While I agree it is difficult to sue for an opinion (Freedom of Speech/Press and all) I think we will see more cases like this sue for libel without the internet anonymity protection.

ps. JL did you see the link I posted for SK on the co-op education program in SA?
