Richard - off topic -in Canada in recent years there has been quite a trade in so called 'limited edition' prints, usually on some wild life theme. The runs are often over 2000, compared to a print by a genuine printmaker where 35- 50 might be the norm. In reality they are photographic reproductions signed by the artist. It is a big issue in the art world, and the artists who produce this stuff can't understand why they are not shown in serious galleries - whereas they should be happy to take their money and run since they are commercial artists. Framed they go for $400 plus, whereas the poor stiffs that produce original art works are often ignored. In reality the prints are collectibles like your mother's plates, and can be found in collectible magazines. This sort of thing is very big in Canada - I don't know about the States. E
