Does anyone know more about this? Old news (Sept 11, 1997) - released at Internet Commerce Expo, '97. Kanakaris To Acquire World's First Universal E Mail System; Product Unveiled At ICE LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Attendees to the ICE (Internet Commerce Expo) Show were introduced to the E-Push System, a universal messaging service that allows field workers and those without computers to access their E-mail, faxes, and voicemail with any touchtone phone. Kanakaris Communications, an exhibitor at ICE, announced the signing of an intent agreement to purchase E-Push Technologies, creators and marketers of the E-Push system. Beryl Wolk, known as the father of infomercials, was instrumental in arranging the merger and will serve as executive consultant in the worldwide marketing of E-Push. Jesse Levine will serve as managing director of E-Push, which will join Desience and InternetWorks as wholly owned subsidiaries of Kanakaris Communications, a Malibu based corporation scheduled to go public in the first quarter of 1998. According to Mr. Levine, "E-Push subscribers get their own secure E-mail address and fax number, where all of their E-mail, faxes and voicemail are stored. Subscribers can use E-Push text-to-speech technology to listen to their E-mail, faxes and voicemail over the telephone. Subscribers can also have their E-mail and faxes sent to any fax machine of their choice in the world. The service can also be set up to page subscribers when messages come in." Interest level in the E-Push system at the ICE Show was high. "First of all, this brings a new level of connectivity to the millions who still aren't connected to e-mail via computer. But it also gives the business person who travels away access to their e-mail when a computer and modem aren't readily available," said Alex Kanakaris, CEO of Kanakaris Communications. "Strategically, this acquisition serves our purpose of providing interactive content to the consumer in various different forms." SOURCE Kanakaris Communications
