<<Everybody knows Ca is a republican state>>

Not true - apparently the state is pretty much evenly divided between Republicrats and Democrablicans. Remember, the state Congress has a Democrat majority, and both our US Senators are Democrats. I don't know what the breakdown is for US Congresspeople, but I would be willing to bet that it's a Democrat majority.

We've had a Republican Governor for a while, but IMHO that's an attempt to keep the Democrat Congress in line, not a vote for Republicans. We seem to like split tickets in CA.
