RE: No stops BTW, because I will be increasing my short position all the way through 10 if by some manipulation it gets that far.

Every broker I know recomends stops. Actually, you do have a stop. The point at which your broker feels you can no longer meet your obligation. A short position is the only position a person can take that has no limit on loss. As the CBOE offers leaps on INPR, you might consider using puts as a short vehicle that will limit your loss. You can buy INPR jan 2000 5's for 1 3/16. You should see a point for point return if INPR drops. But, it is your call.

All said and done, I still find it interesting that you will take such risk for such a small return. Your best case scenario is 5 points (less fees).

INPR performed badly on a 70+point day on NASDAQ.

Cube, I'm not sure what you mean by that..

NASDAQ +94.34 from 1660.86 for a 6.0% increase.

INPR +3/8 from 5 1/8 for a 7.3% increase.

It looks like INPR outperformed the NASDAQ to me (by about 20%)..

Best of luck with your short...
