My friend. thank you for informing me about that "inbox" thing. that is really "cool"!! i did not know that i had so many friends writing to me. my thanks go out to all of them!! i guess that i will have to click-on to it more often. i do NOT really think that i will be responding via it (the "inbox) though for two (2) very personal reasons. (#1) i am simply not smart enough to figure out how to make it work. (#2) i really don't like "secret" messages. i, personally, have nothing to hid and i just really wish that we could all be friends enough - and simply TRUST each other enough - to not feel as though we have the need for "secret-boxes". i simply do not want to be contributing to this kind of an atmosphere of secrecy. anyway, thanks again for the kind words - especially about the Viet-Nam "war-years". i was not physically scarred by that war, but i know that i have been permanently emotionally "scarred" by it. my wife says that it has made me VERY bitter and EXTREMELY skeptical. when it comes to anything "political", i am sure that she is right!! anyway, i sure do hope that we can "chat" some more - some how - some time. you sound like a very interesting person and a really great American!! you should be very proud of that!! take care, my friend.
