And the PII will run PowerPC code very badly. Saying something doesn't run at top speed when not optimized, is like saying the top speed of a car, is it's maximum speed going up a 70% embankment in first gear. Kind stupid if you ask me.

I think the technology gap is widening.

Intel, making 300 MHz Pentium II parts at 1.6 volts vs. 2.2 volts for AMD's K6-2, results in 48% less power dissipation.

I think notebook makers are going to like that.
