>> Cyrix MII-300 chip. It does not say anything about the size of the cache or if it even has one.<<

I was hoping someone else would help us here. I found the chip on the Cyrix site ( I am not posting link because I can not get it to work today) From memory the CPU has 64k cache. I think they were referring to L1 cache as they compared it to the PII with 16k +16k cache.

The 512k L2 cache is in the PII CPU. The L2 cache of the Cyrix 300 MII CPU may be on the mobo?? we need help here...help!

I do not know what all of this means from a performance point of view.

My first impression of the computer #reply-5687713 is that it is very non descript. I would want to know what I am buying. I do not think you will have many upgrade options. A mini tower case is too small IMO.

My suggestion would be to wait till October 25 and then check Gateway or Micron for a mainstream PII 333 or 350. The CPU price should be about $200 at that time. home1.swipnet.se .

Or maybe a Celeron PC.
