The info about ADIC CEO buying is quite accurate since my freind's brother is quite a reliable source. I would thin the stock will get a lift when the info becomes public.
I may pick up some LSI and AMAT at these levels. I don't think we have seen all the selling, although we may not see the lows from last week for some time. I am thinking of investing in Entrust (ENTU), a network security ventor owed 40% by Northern Telecom. They IPOed last month and are a big player in network security which should be an exploding market given that everybody is setting up WEB interfac to eliminate/reduce physical delivery channels. Let me know what you think. For most part I avoided the bloodbath of the last few weeks by having raised some cash from my ASND positon in the 50s , covered calls on SUNW, NT , ASND (which is covered) and writing naked puts last week when evrything was down. However, my 401 K plan and options which are substantially invested in BankAmerica stock got killed in the financial sector meltdown.
You may wish to diversify into financial stocks. Most large cap bank stocks have been beaten down. I had limit orders placed for Chase and Citi last night which did not execute due to the high opening. I feel there is more opportunity ahead in this sector relative to tech where earnings will be the key driver.
