Calvalry,

The main reason that a shorts squeeze doesn't work in an OTC-BB stock is that there are always plenty of sellers into the price rise, giving the short positions adequate access to free trading shares so that they can cover. I suspect that this "plan" of AZNT has been so well publicized on the chat boards that most shorts have long ago covered when the big price decline occurred.

But the question remains, what about any short positions that haven't covered yet? The answer is reasonably simple. If they illegally shorted the on the first go round, what's to prevent them from illegally shorting on the second go round? In other words, they could simply cover their illegal shorts in the "old" CUSIP with illegal shorts in the "new" CUSIP. And that presumes that each and every real shareholder takes possession of their shares, which isn't going to happen. I would guess that many shareholders have asked for their certs, but that's not all shareholders. And what's to prevent a few large shareholders from cutting a deal with the shorts behind your back? I'm watching this situation from a distance, but I suspect that in the end, it won't make much of a difference in the stock price. But for your sake, I hope I'm wrong.
