By chance I heard Macguire's 62nd homer.. did I hear correctly, they said:

It was hit at 8:18, on Sept 8th, 1998 ??

So I started tumbling the numbers..

8:18 = 98 in reverse adding the 1 and 8
Sept 8th is 9/8 or 98
1998 is 98
and if you count the places (8:18 9/8 1998) there are 9 places
even the 62nd homer is 6+2=8

Quite an oddity of coincident 8s and 9s.. sure glad today is 9/9 !

Hi Gresh; That American Century is tough, and on the top of my list
once I see for sure that we break the down trend. I also like
the Janus funds, and think that when this does start back up a
good small cap fund might pay off, they have been roughed up
so much that they are now showing signs that most of the people
who wanted out have got out. Their lows have been improving
lately.
