Historicaly companies in businesses like DELL's,
Part assemblers / hardware / semi durable goods..

Have traded at 1-5 times book value.

That number for dell is currently below $2.
The reason it has not gone up is because MD has spent the only asset the company has, cash, to buy back the companies..er I mean his stock options, and that asset is only worth $2 according to the accountants.

That gives me a target for DELL of $5 long term.

I know you disagree with me for more reasons than either you or I care to list.

This will happen. It will take time, but DELL's book value is not growing. The company will never pay a dividend.
MD will just use more of DELL's only asset, cash, to buy his stock and put more money in his bank account.
DELL has bought back over 170 million shares, buy the float has been reduced by less than 100 million shares. That is your money going into the managers of DELLL's pockets.

Time is on my side.
