Best post I believe I have ever seen you post Al-len... And your right. I have little doubt that the internet BB's are being targeted for action. What you also must note is that the internet should be a forum for the exchange of all pertinent information on an investment, not a personal battleground for innuendo and unsubstantiated hype. What is at stake here is that if internet users cannot police themselves, the authorities will do it for them. And the result will be that anytime "internet" is mentioned with regard to a stock, it will become its deathknell. There is also another aspect to this, that of how the internet threatens to subvert and undermine the traditional heirarchy on Wall Street. You see discount brokerages stealing business from the FSBs. Online charting and analysis websites are undermining the tradional analyst and research departments on the street. And the end result is that the "little guy" is taking more and more charge of his investments and paying less attention to the traditional "priesthood" of broker/analysts and investment bankers that only grant favor upon THEIR "blessed" equity children, most of which they helped to underwrite, and have their sales depts heavily active in selling retail. Thus, it is in the street's interest to defame, ridicule, or persecute those who believe in the internet. To do otherwise only undermines their worth to clients and the industry in which they are employed. Imo, that is what has been the real issue here. And it is why there must always be "Nays" on hand to even out the hype and bring documented and credible information to bear in order to protect ourselves as individual investors. Regards, Ron
