Do you think operating systems should be used as weapons against application software developers?

The government view is that browser can (and probably should) become operating systems, but operating systems must not be allowed to become browsers. Such a view is anti-progress, anti-technology.

To be consistent, the government should force Microsoft to unbundle everything, starting with DOS. Everyone knows that DOS and Windows are seperate products, and to unite them is an act of unspeakable evil. No? Well, that just shows the bias in favor of the status quo: everything in Windows as of '95 (or some date) obviously belongs there, everything not in Windows as of '95 obviously does not belong there...
