Justin,

>>Please name three (3) things that MSFT has actually innovated.

1) ActiveLex - previous to Encarta, most dictionaries retained the original meaning of words indefinitely; Microsoft now allows dynamic redefinitions. Although only supported internally at this time, it is expected to be available to the general public after the fourth revision of The Road Ahead.

2) Deposition BOB - client-based software which brings back the hilarious antics of Microsoft BOB as a pre-trial lawyer gone wild who coaches the user through various virtual depositions. Never a dull moment as BOB fires hot questions while TrialAssistant whispers hints or offers classic lines such as "I have a lack of recollections", "facts are stupid things your Honour", or "I'm not sure I understand Mr. Hatch's question".

3) TLA-Wizard - A marketing tool targeted at high-growth companies seeking to maintain current marketshare through the creation of phantom product lines. Products based solely on Three Letter Acronyms are generated via an innovative "Slots" interface. Simply click on the arm of the slot window and marvel as the three tumblers whir excitedly before resting upon three random letters. A special version of the popular AI-Wizard jumps into play, turning the three letters into media-ready catchphrases such as: Active System Services or Kiosk Resource Partner. A mature internal use product with a well established history, this is the first time this package is being made available to the public. Debut will be at the MSFT Y2K compliance fiesta on Jan 2, 00.

Cheers,

Norm

The worlds most prolific software
company. This society has never seen
anything even close. Your asking the
wrong questions....That is the lame
question Oracle and Sun people ask..
