John, I take a lot of heat over this, but I stick with my bearish positions, just less so. That is why my 90/10 dipped to a low in long puts of 35% at the bottom and is now back up to 50% after yesterday's insanity. Part of that wasn't a conscious decision. I tried to roll Citicorp puts down and many others and sometimes the strikes weren't where I wanted them. But part of it was a timing sense.

Now, some folks say, why not shift and buy calls? And, I sometimes ask that of myself. But, I am a fundamentalist and a contrarian. I would take advantage of Greater Fool Theory hiccups if I thought I had any talent in that direction, but I don't. I look at the crap the momentum geeks believe and I always feel that they have to wake up very soon. They don't, but I do not feel comfortable betting that they will remain lobotomized and believing Abby Jo for a specific period of time.

It comes down to the fact that I'd rather have a few bad expiration days than split my army of money, actually a small platoon <G>, away from what I believe is the main direction of the market and valuations.
